News from the Mothers and Dads AssociationsLooking for something to do on Saturdays this fall? The Mothers Association is looking for volunteers to work the craft tables at each of the home football games. It’s a lot of fun and a great way to be involved with the Association and get to know other Association members. The craft sales help fund projects such as the Safety Magnets and give the Association a great deal of visibility. If you are interested in helping out, contact Grace Reynolds at rglkrreynolds@msn.com or the Parent Programs Office at uiparents@ad.uiuc.edu.Spanish-speaking volunteers needed to participate in Latino Family Visit Day on September 30th. Parents will be needed at various times throughout the day beginning at 8:30am and ending around 4pm. The Association will begin the weekend on Friday, Oct. 5 with a reception at 5 pm in the South Lounge of the Illini Union and the Annual Banquet at 5:30 pm in the Illini Rooms of the Illini Union. Our guest speaker this year will be Coach Bruce Weber! The Dads Association will recognize the Library Award winners, the Certificate of Merit recipients and King Dad 2007 will be crowned. Sign up by visiting the customer service kiosk in the West 1 lobby area at McKinley Health Center, by asking a clerk for a Patient Test Result Account Manager form, or by completing the test results section on the automated check-in stations before an appointment. Your student only needs to do this once. After they have signed up, they will receive an e-mail anytime they have test results available.107.1 FM to Broadcast Move-in Traffic UpdatesBe sure to tune your radio to 107.1 FM (WPGU) as you approach the Champaign-Urbana community for move-in day. Campus traffic updates will be aired on Thursday, August 16 and Saturday, August 18 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at every hour and half-hour. In addition to important traffic updates, you'll also hear some handy move-in tips and other University Housing information. Just a quick reminder students can start requesting their new RFA (Request For Accommodations) letters for the new academic year from your Resource Facilitator (RF) by email.
