Student Health Insurance Enrollment/Change Period

The Student Health Insurance Enrollment/Change Period, runs from February 16, 2007 to February 22, 2007 for the Spring 2007 Semester. This is the only time during the Spring 2007 semester that students can complete an Open Enrollment Reinstatement, apply for Dependent Coverage, apply for permanent Exemption from the insurance fee, or apply for an Extension of your Fall 06 coverage.

E-Bill Information

Global Studies Intern

Global Studies Interns are an integral part of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Global Studies Initiative. These paid internships are a semester-long, and give students the opportunity to facilitate a section of LAS 101, Global Awareness I. The deadline to apply is March 2, 2007.

Undergraduate Environmental Minor

The Environmental Fellows Program (EFP) is an undergraduate minor for students in any major who are interested in the environment. The EFP provides University students a unique opportunity to pursue personal environmental interests through courses that focus on current issues from an interdisciplinary perspective. A minor in the EFP signifies an environmental understanding of the intersections between the natural world, technology, politics, and culture. Applications are due February 20, 2007.

Study Abroad Information Session for Student's with Disabilities

Students with disabilities who are interested in studying abroad can attend an informational session on February 27 at 4 p.m.

Career Fairs

The Non-Profit & Government Career Fair offers a wonderful opportunity for all students, regardless of major or year in school, to meet with representatives from various non-profit and governmental agencies. The Fair will be held on March 12th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Illini Rooms A, B, and C.

The Educational Career Services Office is sponsoring the Mid-America Educators' Job Fair which will occur on March 1, 2007 in the Illini Union

Construction Updates

Student Legal Services offers Spring Break Advice

Spring Break is quickly approaching and many students are traveling to warmer places this March. Suggest that your student read the article posted to the Student Legal Service's website that offers advice on how to stay safe and on how to book a successful spring break trip.

Senior 100 Honorary

The Student Alumni Ambassadors and the University of Illinois Alumni Association recognize outstanding seniors through the annual Senior 100 Honorary. Recipients of this award are honored for their outstanding achievements in leadership, academics and campus involvement throughout their undergraduate education. The deadline for this application is March 11, 2007 at 7 p.m.

The Disability Resources and Educational Services announced the Ethel Louise Armstrong Scholarship for women with physical disabilities. The deadline for this application is June 1, 2007.

Statistics compiled recently by the office of the Associate Provost for International Affairs at University of Illinois demonstrate that Illinois is the only U.S. institution of higher education ranking in the top ten in the three key metrics of international education: international student enrollment, total number of study abroad students, and the number of federally-funded Title VI National Resource Centers for international and area studies.
