Moms Day Weekend

is a spring event and features a wide range of activities for students and their families. At the Friday banquet the Moms Association honors the Medallion of Honor recipient and Mom of the Year will be announced. Some other weekend activities include the Atius-Sachem Moms Day Sing, the Black Chorus Moms Day Sing, the Horticulture Club Open House and the Illini Union Board Spring Musical and Fashion Show. The Moms Association annual meeting is held on Saturday morning.

Dads Weekend

Dads Day Weekend

is a fall event scheduled to coincide with a home football game. All family members are encouraged to attend. Starting the Weekend, the Dads Association hosts the annual banquet on Friday evening where they recognize recipients of the Certificate of Merit, the Library Awards and King Dad is crowned. The Dads Association annual meeting is held on Saturday morning, followed by a tent party preceding the football game. Move-In-Day Picnic

Every year, thousands of students and families converge on the Champaign-Urbana area in August for the University's annual Move-In-Day. Area restaurants are overwhelmed by the number of patrons, and that's where the Associations step in. For a minimal fee, you can enjoy a gourmet boxed lunch with your student under the shade of the Association's tent, located just west of Memorial Stadium...away from the hub-bub that is Move-In-Day. Illini Parents 101 Workshops

are opportunities for parents to come together and learn about the University and its services. Guest speakers address the issues and concerns today's college students are experiencing. The 2008 Illini Parents 101 workshops are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 27th. Click here for the schedule and registration information.

The Illini Parents 2007 workshops were held on September 15, at the Illini Union. Summer Registration

programs for freshmen and transfer students are scheduled for six weeks each summer just before the semesters begins in August. The Moms and Dads Associations sponsor programs for parents, and representatives offer parents of new students their perspectives on parent/student relationships during the college years. There is an abbreviated Registration program in January for students admitted for the Spring semester.
